The fabric

Fabric with a past life

Our main fabric is a regenerated nylon made from waste that was pulled out of the sea — ghost nets, industrial offcuts, old carpet. It's spun back into yarn that performs like new, and can be regenerated again at the end of its life.

It costs more than virgin nylon. We think that's the right trade.

The making

Made by people we know

Every piece is sewn in a small workshop in Bali by a team we visit, pay fairly and know by name. Nothing is subcontracted out to a factory we've never seen.

Making it here also means our samples travel twenty minutes instead of halfway around the world — and get tested in the ocean the same afternoon.

Getting better every season

We've made a good start — regenerated fabric, small batches, plastic-free post. Here's what we're building next.

Take-back scheme Send back an outgrown suit and we'll regenerate the fabric — and give you credit for the next one.

Sea freight only Every restock on the water instead of in the air. It means planning further ahead — worth it.

Free repairs A broken tie shouldn't end a suit. We'll fix it and send it back, so one piece lasts three summers.

We'll publish how each one goes — the parts that work and the parts we're still figuring out.
